Hello guys it’s meowth900 here recapping the episode of Parasyte that aired on Toonami last Saturday. Schoolwork comes first so that’s why this review is late.
Anyways our episode begins with Tamura revealing that other parasites can survive without eating humans. Yes it is possible that is surprising. Tamura theorizes that parasites and humans both belong in the same family. The detectives show up out of nowhere and open fire on Tamura. Tamura protects her baby and takes all of the bullets instead of attacking. She stagger walks over to Shinichi pleading for him to listen to what she has to say.
Shinichi remembers his mother while watching Tamura and the baby. The detectives stop shooting as she gets closer to Shinichi. Tamura leaves the baby in Shinichi’s care and dies remembering the human laughter of her past. All the deaths Shinichi has witnessed in his parasitic state finally pile up and make him cry. He bawls a lot. Wow is this 80s or what?
Miss “You are Shinichi Izumi aren’t you?” Murano hears the baby crying like how all females are suppose to and follows the crying over to where Shinichi is at. She welcomes Shinichi back because he’s been gone for a long time. Some happy times I suppose.
Later on Shinichi is taken to a testing facility where people are being tested for either being parasites or sensing them. There’s a real scary looking guy being tested, and his name is Uragami.
The episode ends with Uragami detecting something in Shinichi and Shinichi making eye contact withhim because the police ordered him to.
Parasyte The Maxim is licensed by Sentai Filmworks and airs every Saturday night at 1am on Toonami on Adult Swim. (Also there’s a new anime on at 12:30am named Dimension W. It’s a broadcast dub from Funimation Entertainment)
If you want to own Parasyte The Maxim on shiny discs it will be available on April 5, 2016.
If you hate the cliffhangers like I do you can also watch Parasyte The Maxim on Crunchyroll and Hulu but they will be in Japanese with English subtitles.
If anime isn’t your thing you can buyt the manga both digitally and physically from Kodansha Comics. Buy them on Rightstuff or Amazon.
Also PSA. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Fullmetal Alchemist Conqueror of Shamballa will expire stream wise at the end of March. Watch if you have not watched or watch it again possibly one last time. (I hope it’s not the last time. Aniplex Japan would have to be stupid to take these back and not put them out again.)
