The official Toonami Facebook page made a post today regarding the upcoming micro-series from Production I.G. and famed anime director Mamoru Oshii. The short film, set to air in 5 parts starting sometime in March of next year, is a live-action/CG hybrid story called Sand Whale and Me. The story follows a paratrooper who finds herself stranded in a desert, desperately hoping to find a sand whale so she can escape.
